 Cosmopolitan
Lofts is located in a sector of the city of Chicago
known as the South Loop. This neighborhood, which extends
from Congress Expressway on the north to Cermak Road
on the south, was once home to the printer's trade and
associated businesses. In the past 10 to 15 years, this
section of the city has undergone a slow but steady
regeneration. Many of the old, multi-story, loft industrial
buildings of the early 1900s have been purchased by
developers and converted to a loft residential use.
When the condition and configuration of these buildings
are not suitable for conversion, it is not unusual for
the developer to raze the improvements and construct

Lofts with Lake Michigan, Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium,
Field Museum, Soldier Field, The Art Institute of Chicago,
Orchestra Hall, Roosevelt University, DePaul University
and State Street shopping all within walking
distance. Access to the Eisenhower, Dan Ryan and Kennedy
Expressways is less than five minutes away. Bus, train
and taxi transportation is plentiful. Overall, Cosmopolitan
Lofts' location is excellent.
